  1. Cut wall tube of P-trap to accommodate tee. Note: Tee can be placed at a 45 degree angle and used with the 45 degree elbow to offset the vent in order to clear any obstruction directly above the wall arm.
  2. Dry fit all of the pieces in place to determine where cuts should be made. Remember to allow for ¾” of the pipe that will be inside the connections. Note: Vent height must be a minimum of 4” from the first ridge on the vent to the top of the wall arm. Cut tubes to length. Note: Pipe that is cut as scrap may be needed to attach the tee to the elbow if offset is being used, do not discard excess pipe.
  3. Apply pipe thread tape to the threads on the REDI-VENT®. Attach the vent to the tailpiece using the red rubber washer and nut. Hand-tighten only.
  4. Dry fit all of the pieces to ensure they fit, cut again if necessary.
  5. Glue all parts in place using all purpose PVC cement.
  6. Attach J bend to tailpiece and glued assembly.
