The Keeney Manufacturing Company's lead free mission is to be compliant to the California AB 1953, and other states, lead free initiatives. In order to accomplish this we will be creating new part numbers and UPC Codes for the items effected. This will allow you, our customer, an inventory control measure as well as visibility of the items that are going into the states that are affected by the lead free initiative. Without having to convert your entire inventory for the states that, as of now, do not have a lead free law, our hope is that this saves you both time and money.
Your sales representative will be supplying you a listing of the product that you purchase that will have part number and UPC code changes, and an expected date of change. Our goal is to start shipping product the beginning of the third quarter of 2009 to allow your dealers or stores to be in stock prior to the January, 1 2010 effective date of the lead free law. We will continue to meet the needs of you and your customers in an ever changing market and share in success.
