Recommended procedure for installation:

1. Turn off water at the tap.
2. Remove old tee and tailpiece.
3. Remove nuts A and D and washers B and C from new tee and tailpiece.
4. Put nuts and washers on waste drain tubes leading to tee as illustrated.
5. Place nut and washer from J Bend onto tee.
6. Position tee. Tighten nuts securely. Run water to test for leaks.

For complete center outlet waste drain installation:

1. Purchase 2 waste drain tubes.
2. Measure the distance between W and X and between Y and Z and cut drain tubes to length with a hacksaw.
3. Remove nuts and washers E, F, G and H from the new waste drain tubes and put on strainer tailpieces, as illustrated.
4. Assemble tee and tailpiece according to the instructions above.
5. Position entire center outlet waste and tighten nuts securely. Run water to test for leaks.

Installation hint:

1. Put Telflon® tape on the drain threads before attaching nuts. This will help provide a better seal against leaks.
2. Use a scrap of cloth to protect the chrome finish on the nuts when you tighten with a wrench
