Note: When drain is properly installed washer will be between waste shoe and tub.
  2. Assemble sponge rubber gasket between tub and overflow flange and insert tub tacks into slots on both sides of overflow to maintain location of overflow and gasket for future assembly of face plate.
  3. To install linkage assembly to the approximate correct length, place plunger on bottom of tub and adjust the length by screwing the eyebolt through hexnut and into clevis until the bottom of the clevis is even to the bottom of the tub overflow hole; then tighten the hexnut against the bottom of the clevis securely.

  5. Test the linkage length adjustment to be sure the plunger reaches the bottom seat to shot off water in its down position and lifts far enough to allow free drainage in its up position.
