1-1/2" x 7" Waste Drain Tube Slip Joint or Direct Connection

The Waste Drain Tube is easily installed for use with double bowl sink installation with a center outlet tee.

Recommended procedure for installation

Direct connection - illustrated:

  1. Turn off water at the tap.
  2. Remove old waste drain tube.
  3. Remove top nut A and washer.
  4. Invert nut A and drop insert into it.
  5. Attach to strainer using rubber washer.
  6. Put second nut E and poly washer F on insert.
  7. Remove nut C and washer D from old tee and place on waste drain tube.
  8. Position waste drain tube. Tighten nuts securely. Run water to test for leaks.

Slip joint connection - not illustrated:

NOTE: Discard extra nut and short tailpiece insert.

  1. Turn off water at the tap.
  2. Remove old waste drain tube.
  3. Discard insert and one nut. Put nut A and washer B on strainer tailpiece.
  4. Remove nut C and washer D from old tee and place on new waste drain tube.
  5. Position waste drain tube. Tighten nuts securely. Run water to test for leaks.

Installation hints:

  1. Put Teflon® tape or pipe dope on the drain threads before attaching nuts. This will provide a better seal against leaks.
  2. Use a scrap of cloth to protect the chrome finish on the nuts when you tighten with a pipe wrench.
