The S Trap is easy to install as a waste connection between a sink tailpiece and floor outlet.
Instructions:

1. Turn off water at the tap.
2. Remove old S Trap.
3. Remove inlet nut A and washer from the J Bend.
4. Put nut A and washer on tailpiece.
5. Loosen nut B.
6. Put nut C and washer on floor tube. Insert floor tube in connector.
7. Adjust floor tube and swivel J Bend to align trap into position.
8. Make sure floor tube does not bottom out in floor fitting.
9. Hand tighten nuts A, B, and C. Run water to test for leaks.

Note: These parts are designed for a hand-tight installation. Pipe thread compound is not required.
Installation hints:
Since it traps items that may fall into the drain and blocks gases from the waste drain system, water and dirt will be present in the existing trap. Place a bucket under the old trap before attempting to remove it.
