The J Bend is easy to install to your existing sink drain system. Recommended procedure for installation P or S type trap:

1. Turn off water at the tap.
2. Remove old J Bend.
3. Remove nuts A and B and washers from new J Bend.
4. Place nut A and washer on tailpiece.
5. Put new J Bend into position.
6. Attach nut A and washer and nut B to J Bend as illustrated.Hand tighten. Run water to test for leaks.

Installation hint: Since it "traps" items that may fall into the drain and blocks gases from the waste drain system, water and dirt will be present in the existing trap. Place a bucket under the old trap before attempting to remove it.
