1-1/2" IPS sink trap:
NOTE: You may need to purchase a 1-1/2" iron pipe size threaded outlet elbow.
  1. Turn off water at the tap.
  2. Remove old J Bend.
  3. Remove nut A from new J Bend and select 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" or 1-1/2" washer
  4. Place nut A and washer on tailpiece.
  5. Remove and discard outlet nut and washer from J Bend
  6. Attach 1-1/2" Iron Pipe Size Threaded Elbow to J Bend and tighten nut B.
  7. Position entire sink trap and hand tighten nut A to J Bend and C to threaded connection. Run water to test for leaks. Note: These parts are designed for a hand-tight installation. Pipe thread compound is not required.

INSTALLATION HINT: Since it "traps" items that may fall into the drain and blocks gases from the waste drain system, water and dirt will be present in the existing trap. Place a bucket under the old trap before attempting to remove it.
Pipe or spud wrench (to remove old brass J Bend).
