1-1/2" x 8" Dishwasher Branch Tailpiece 3/4" branch

1-1/2" X 8" Dishwasher branch tailpiece recommended
Procedure for installation direct connection:
- Turn off water at the tap.
- Invert nut A and drop short tailpiece insert into it.
- Slide nut C and poly washer onto insert.
- Join insert assembly to branch tailpiece.
- Place new branch tailpiece up to the strainer. Measure distance required and cut to length if necessary.
- Loosen nut D and nut B on J Bend. Drop J Bend and discard existing tailpiece.
- Put rubber hose over spout on branch tailpiece. Attach clamp and tighten.
- Put rubber washer E into top slip nut.
- Attach branch tailpiece to strainer loosely.
- Put nut D and washer from J Bend on branch tailpiece.
- Position J Bend and hand tighten nuts D and B.
- Direct spout of branch tailpiece in the direction of dishwasher for easy drainage.
- Hand tighten all nuts securely. Run water to test for leaks.
NOTE: These parts are designed for a hand-tight installation. Pipe thread compound is not required.
Slip joint connection:
NOTE: Discard one nut and short tailpiece insert.
- Turn off water at the tap.
- Place new branch tailpiece up to the strainer. Measure distance required and cut to length if necessary.
- Loosen nut D and nut B on J Bend. Drop J Bend and discard existing tailpiece.
- Put rubber hose over spout on branch tailpiece. Attach clamp and tighten.
- Remove nut C and poly washer from branch tailpiece.
- Place nut C and poly washer on extension attached to sink strainer.
- Attach branch tailpiece to nut C loosely.
- Put nut D and washer from J Bend on branch tailpiece.
- Position J Bend and hand tighten nuts D and B.
- Direct spout of branch tailpiece in the direction of dishwasher for easy drainage.
- Hand tighten all nuts securely. Run water to test for leaks.
Installation hints:
If a longer length is required, purchase a slip joint extension tube

Pipe or Spud Wrench (to remove old brass tailpiece).
